Cleaning Instructions for ArmorFlex Custom-designed Upholstery Vinyl
Indoor installations utilizing ArmorFlex® upholstery vinyls are designed for durability in high- traffic commercial applications. Understanding that today’s public spaces require frequent cleaning to prevent the spread of germs, we recommend the following cleaning products to keep your ArmorFlex® material in top performance:
- Be certain to clean up spills as soon as possible. Routine cleaning with a clean cloth rag or a damp sponge using mild soap and water will safely wipe away water-soluble spills. If wiping with a wet solution, finish with a dry cloth to remove any residual soap residue that may dull the surface.
- To disinfect and sanitize, use a 10% bleach/water solution.
- Other popular disinfectants, including wipes and sprays such as Clorox® wipes, Lysol® wipes, or sprays such as 409 may be used, but these chemicals should be rinsed with water and a moist cloth to remove residue left from these products. These cleaning products may degrade the life of any upholstery material and may void any warranty. For longer life, sanitizing with the bleach/water mixture is the recommended method.
INK AND STAIN ISSUES
Stubborn stains, such as ballpoint pen ink, may be cleaned by wiping the area as soon as possible with isopropyl alcohol. We cannot guarantee that ArmorFlex® will resist intentional damage, including contact with indelible inks.
In addition, lighter-colored materials may be subjected to the transfer of dyes from clothing rubbing on seating surfaces. Controlling this dye transfer may be more common under certain temperature and humidity environments and could be problematic. The resulting transfer damage may be permanent.
